MBM urges youths to appreciate principles of Rukun Negara
KUALA LUMPUR, July 10 — The Malaysia Youth Council (MBM) today called on youths to appreciate the five principles of Rukun Negara to help achieve greater national solidarity.
MBM secretary-general Hasnul Haniff Harun said in a statement that it was necessary to cultivate and raise consciousness of the Rukun Negara among youths who would be future leaders.
The Rukun Negara principles are Belief in God; Loyalty to King and Country; Upholding the Constitution; Rule of Law; and Good Behaviour and Morality.
Therefore, he said, MBM suggested that Rukun Negara Education be started by using the method as in the beginning of its establishment, where the reading of Rukun Negara was broadcast on every television and radio station within the allotted time.
“Now with the broader social media platform, the Rukun Negara education is certainly easier to be implemented,” he said.
