Yayasan Peneraju appoints Rafizi Ramli, Datuk Nor Azmie as board of trustees

KUALA LUMPUR: Economic minister Rafizi Ramli and the secretary-general of the ministry of economy Datuk Nor Azmie Diron has been appointed as members of the board of trustees of Yayasan Peneraju Pendidikan Bumiputera (Yayasan Peneraju) effective March 27.

In welcoming the appointments, Yayasan Peneraju chief executive officer Dr Mohammad Muzzamil Ismail said as a data-driven organisation, the agency will strive to design and offer industry-driven programs to amplify the youth’s employability with the right skills, contributing to the country’s economic growth.

Yayasan Peneraju’s board of trustees are all elected on a pro bono basis.

Prior to his current position, Nor Azmie served as the director general of the Economic Planning Unit (EPU).

The government aims to propel the country towards becoming a high-income nation through structured academic, technical and vocational education and training (TVET), professional, technological, and specialized funding programs.

Yayasan Peneraju has successfully trained and reskilled over 57,000 individuals from the B40, M40, rural, and the underserved groups through more than 440 programs, enabling them to contribute to the nation’s economic development.
