Use LPT, East-West Expressway to avoid congestion to Gua Musang
GUA MUSANG: Kelantan folks who are returning home for Hari Raya Aidilfitri are advised to use the East Coast Expressway (LPT) or East-West Expressway as alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion on the Gua Musang route.
Kelantan police chief Datuk Muhamad Zaki Harun said the police were prepared to manage the anticipated increase in traffic two to three days before Hari Raya.
“If they use both routes that can be accessed via Terengganu and Perak, traffic in Gua Musang will be under control,” he said here last night.
Zaki said that following the road closure due to the installation of bridge piers for Lingkaran Tengah Utama (LTU) Expressway Package 3B and 3C, Gua Musang police were exploring two alternative roads from Kuala Lumpur-Kota Bharu-Kuala Lumpur to alleviate congestion for road users.
He also appealed to road users to exercise patience with the ongoing construction work.
