‘I’m willing to go to Switzerland with Anwar’ – Tun M
SHAH ALAM – Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has challenged Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to reveal where the allegedly stolen government funds, which the former is accused of possessing are located.
Dr Mahathir said he was willing to return 100 per cent of the money which was alleged to be in his possession and donate it to the poor.
However, he said, Anwar needed to reveal where the money was first.
“Perhaps it’s in a Swiss bank. I’m willing to go to Switzerland with Anwar and ask the bank to show my account, just like Datuk Seri Najib Razak had an account at Ambank.
“Anwar was the one who said those who stole billions, should bring back the money and help the Malays who were poor.

“If the bank account exists, I will withdraw 100 per cent of the money and give it to the Malays,” he said in a post on Facebook, yesterday (Thursday).
Previously, Anwar accused Dr Mahathir of stealing billions of government funds during his tenure as Prime Minister.
Dr Mahathir said if no such account existed in the bank or anywhere else, Anwar should be prepared to answer in court.
“Would he be willing to answer in court on the allegations he made against me? If not, then stop making these baseless accusations.
“I have already said if Anwar keeps on accusing me of stealing money, I will seek a court order for him to pay me RM150 million.
“Actually, I am puzzled because I have never seen this money and do not know where it is.
“The one who knows is Anwar because he was the one who claimed that I have billions,” he wrote in the post.
