Sarawak premier Abang Johari Openg said he has been blessed with good health and he could still visit other countries to see how Sarawak could develop further.

PETALING JAYA: What is important are sincerity and hard work in administering government affairs so that Sarawak develops and generates high income by 2030, he said, according to Bernama.

“If we are good, some people will envy and want to criticise me. Go ahead, I don’t care. As a Muslim, I believe God will help me.

“At the age of 74, I have been blessed with good health and can continue working, travelling to other countries to see how they are developing.

“I can meet people to find ways to develop Sarawak further,” he said at the Gawai Dayak celebration in Kuching’s Gedong district today.

Earlier, newspapers in Sarawak reported that several police reports had been made against Nehru Sathiamoorthy, the author of an article in an online news platform that apparently disparaged Abang Johari’s leadership and achievements.

Sarawak police commissioner Mancha Ata said five reports had been made against the article, and the case was being investigated under Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
