Reformasi leaders to join next ‘Rakyat Lawan Anwar’ rally, Chegubard claims
PUTRAJAYA: Bersatu member Badrul Hisham Shaharin has claimed that the next “Rakyat Lawan Anwar” rally will see the participation of leaders from the reformasi movement, which was founded by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim about 26 years ago.
Badrul, better known as Chegubard, said a meeting would be held tonight to discuss plans for the upcoming rally
“Tonight’s meeting will involve several reformasi figures who once stood alongside Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
“An announcement will be made after the meeting,” he told reporters after giving his statement, together with federal territories Bersatu member Tun Faisal Ismail Aziz, at the Putrajaya police headquarters today.
Last Monday, police recorded statements from Aidil Yunus and 10 others regarding the rally held outside Seri Perdana, the prime minister’s official residence in Putrajaya, which attracted about 250 people.

Putrajaya police chief A Asmadi Abdul Aziz said they were being investigated under Section 9(5) of the Peaceful Assembly Act 2012.
Kuala Lumpur police chief Rusdi Isa previously said the rally organiser failed to obtain the consent of the land owner, Perbadanan Putrajaya, as required under the Act.
