Senator Hasbie apologises for parking car on pavement
PETALING JAYA: Amanah Youth chief Hasbie Muda has apologised for parking his vehicle on a pavement after it was photographed and the image uploaded to social media.
“As the owner of the vehicle, I deeply regret what happened and take full responsibility. I am very sorry for the inconvenience caused and am willing to accept any fine,” he said on X.
Hasbie, who is also a senator, promised that this would not happen again.
Earlier on X, @JimmyNaj posted pictures of a car displaying a parliamentary badge parked on a pavement near the Kuala Lumpur city centre.
Other X users responded with disappointment, with some demanding the government take action. Others wanted to know why he wasn’t paying for parking.

“MPs have allowances for parking up to thousands. Why don’t they use paid parking? Who is this MP?” @BilliBear3 said.
“With a high salary and expensive cars, they can use them but can’t afford parking,” @sham6000 said, adding: “People like this can’t help us in life; they’re always calculating.”.
