Umno senile? Speak for yourself, Nur Jazlan tells Hadi
PETALING JAYA: An Umno leader has asked PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang to do some self-reflection after Hadi remarked that Umno had become senile.
Umno Supreme Council member Nur Jazlan Mohamed told FMT that Hadi was the one who has become senile and should step down as PAS chief to make way for a new leader.
“Who is the one who’s actually old and senile? Do some self-reflection and take a step back to give young, healthy professionals the chance to lead PAS,” he said, addressing himself to Hadi.
“The majority of voters in Malaysia are now younger, and they want leaders with the vision to champion their interests, not those who are full of rhetoric.”
Hadi had said at an election ceramah in Nenggiri last night that Umno had become senile and afflicted with an “old age disease”. He also claimed that many Umno members still in the party did not back their own party at the polls.

Another Umno Supreme Council member, Razlan Rafii, said the PAS-led Kelantan government was the one that was senile given its failure to improve the quality of life of its people despite three decades governing the state.
He said it was because of the state government’s failure that Kelantan folk still struggled to access basic infrastructure, such as clean water, including people in Nenggiri.
