Selangor Amanah wants swap if coordinator’s post given to Umno
PETALING JAYA: Selangor Amanah has urged menteri besar Amirudin Shari to ensure an exchange in “coordinator” posts if the party has to give up the role for the Hulu Bernam constituency to Umno.
The coordinator’s post was created for areas represented by Perikatan Nasional, where these individuals would coordinate the constituency development funds given by the Selangor government instead of the assemblymen.
“We actually wanted to resolve this issue internally at the Pakatan Harapan level since it involves negotiations among unity government component parties.

“We are unhappy about this and disagree with the decision (to give the role to Umno),” he told FMT, adding that the matter was never discussed by Selangor PH.
Abbas, who is also the Seri Serdang assemblyman, said Hulu Selangor Amanah had spent a lot of money to set up the office and had even incurred debt.
He hoped that Amirudin, who is also the Selangor PH chief, would find a win-win solution to the matter.
“I am confident in the menteri besar’s credibility. He has always been fair and listens to the views of all parties,” he said.
Previously, Hulu Selangor Amanah had asked Amirudin to return the Hulu Bernam coordinator’s post, which was helmed by its deputy chief, Roslin Zin.

The division claimed that Roslin was recently relieved of his duties and that the role was given to Hulu Selangor Umno chief Isa Abu Kasim.
Batang Kali and Hulu Bernam are state seats that fall under the Hulu Selangor parliamentary constituency, all of which are represented by PN elected representatives.
