Kelantan police foil two attempts to distribute drugs
Kelantan police have foiled two attempts to distribute drugs into the state recently.
State acting police chief Datuk Muhamad Zaki Harun said police seized more than RM27,000 worth of drugs in the two cases last week.
He said three locals were also arrested in the operations, both in Pasir Mas.
In the first case, he said police detained two men and seized 50 Yaba pills containing 30g of heroin valued at about RM10,500.
“The two men were nabbed in an operation in Tendong on May 11,” he told reporters today.
Zaki said the third man was arrested in another operation in Pasir Mas town on May 12.
“The suspect was nabbed in possession of 1,616 Yaba pills worth about RM16,160,” he added.
He said initial investigations showed that two of the three men have previous records including drug abuse.
He said the three, aged between 33 and 38, were being held for further action.
