Malaysians no longer need to complete Traveller’s Pass from July 4

KUALA LUMPUR: Starting Monday, Malaysians returning to the country will no longer need to complete the Traveller’s Pass feature on the MySejahtera application.

Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said foreign travellers would, however, still need to submit their details via the Traveller’s Pass feature on MySejahtera before entering the country.

He said this relaxation would be implemented in stages and extended to non-citizens such as social pass, student pass holders and those with permanent resident status.

“This is because our health system is currently at a good and satisfactory level. At the moment, the relaxation only applies for (Malaysian) citizens. For other groups, an announcement will be made in the future,” he said in a statement today.

Khairy, however, stressed that the Traveller’s Pass feature will still be maintained on MySejahtera for foreign travellers.

“Foreign travellers will still need to submit their details on MySejahtera before entering Malaysia.

“Besides, to monitor Covid-19 among foreign travellers, this feature will help the Health Ministry to observe other infectious diseases such as monkeypox,” he added.
