Termination contract of highway project

KOTA BARU: The Kelantan State Assembly was today told that the East-Coast Economic Region (ECER) has issued a termination contract notice to the contractor involved in the 2B package of the Kota Baru-Kuala Krai highway project.

State Utility, Infrastructure and Works Committee chairman Datuk Azami Mohd Nor said the notice was issued to the contractor of the 2B package project stretching from Ketereh to Kok Lanas.

“The notice was issued as the contractor involved failed to complete the project as schedule, which is May 5,” he said.

Azami was replying to a question from Mohd Roseli Ismail (Pas-Kemuning) on the last day of Kelantan State Assembly sitting here today.

On the 2C and 3A packages from Kok Lanas to Bukit Tiu, he said they were 2.78 percent completed ahead of their schedule.

“This project is expected to be completed in March, 2025,” he added.
