SERDANG: A police sergeant was detained for allegedly breaking into the Sepang police headquarters’ exhibit storage on Saturday (July 29).

Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the suspect in his 40s was detained on Monday (July 31) and he will be remanded.

“Exhibits from cases that have been completed and slotted to be disposed of are the missing items from storage. We are still investigating the motive behind the incident,” he told reporters on Tuesday (Aug 1).

It was previously reported that the storage unit was broken into on Saturday (July 29).

On the “SiHulk” deviant teachings, Comm Hussein said 32 reports have been lodged in Selangor since last year.

“We are in the midst of identifying and tracking down those involved in the deviant teachings. However, we believe some members might have fled the state to evade authorities,” he said.
