TMJ orders blacklist of company whose worker dumped rubbish at Pantai Lido
JOHOR BARU: Tunku Mahkota Johor Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim has ordered the company whose worker was shown in a viral video dumping rubbish at Pantai Lido to be blacklisted immediately.
Tunku Ismail posted a screenshot of a conversation between him and Johor Baru mayor Datuk Noorazam Osman on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, in reply to a user asking for the contract of the company to be terminated.
“Done,” he said in a short tweet here on Monday (Aug 14).
When contacted, Noorazam said that the Johor Baru City Council had taken punitive action against the company, besides issuing a warning to other contractors under the council.
“We have also ordered the contractor involved to repair the damages that they have done,” he said, adding that the worker behind the incident had also been fired.

Earlier, a one-minute and 22-second video went viral on TikTok showing a video of a clean-up worker allegedly throwing rubbish into the bushes at the roadside of Pantai Lido.
The video was posted by user @laaibanatasha_, who parked her car across from Sultanah Ismail Hospital (HSA) and recorded the incident.
At the time of writing, the video had garnered more than 600,000 views.
