Hafizh extends contract with MIE Honda

KUALA LUMPUR: Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah will stay on with the MIE Honda Racing Team for his second campaign in the Superbike World Championship.

The 28-year-old, who made his debut with the team this season, has signed a contract extension with the independent Honda squad for a second year.

Syahrin scored points on four occasions this year and finished 23rd in the Championship standings.

“I’m very happy to stay with the MIE Racing Honda Team. I know that team owner Midori (Moriwaki) is putting together a stronger package for 2023,” said Syahrin.

“I will focus on giving all that I can, build on last year’s experience and I aim to finish in the points at every race.”
