KUALA LUMPUR, September 1 — The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah shared their prayers for veteran TV3 newscaster, Raymond Goh, who is in critical condition after suffering a stroke on Wednesday.

Al-Sultan Abdullah and Tunku Azizah shared their prayers via a post in the Istana Negara’s Facebook to Goh, who is currently in Hospital Assunta, Petaling Jaya.

Goh’s former colleague Datuk Ras Adiba Radzi via Facebook had shared a post asking people to pray for Goh’s recovery.



Ras Adiba also told New Straits Times that Goh is currently being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

“I was one of the first generation of newsreaders with Raymond Goh and several others. What I can share with you is that the world of news reading at the time was very different.

“Right now, Raymond is in the ICU fighting for his life. I ask everyone to pray for him,” she said.

Goh is known for being the news anchor for TV3’s Nightline news.



With 30 years of experience in the broadcast industry, Goh is known as the ‘man with the golden voice’ also trains and coaches individuals on how to speak well.
