PH ready to work with BN in Negeri Sembilan polls
PETALING JAYA: Negeri Sembilan Pakatan Harapan is willing to form a political alliance with Barisan Nasional ahead of the state election next year, says its chairman, Aminuddin Harun.
According to Utusan Malaysia, Aminuddin said he had no issues working with BN at the state level. However, any potential cooperation would be left to PH’s top leadership to decide on.
“PH’s top leadership will decide and we will comply with their orders. I don’t have any problems (working with BN) because in the state assembly, everything seems to be peaceful and everyone is working well together,” the Negeri Sembilan menteri besar was quoted as saying.
Yesterday, Selangor PH chairman Amirudin Shari said the coalition was ready to form a political alliance with BN ahead of the Selangor state elections.
He said PH wanted to maintain the relationship it had with BN at the federal level and was open to having discussions.
However, the Selangor menteri besar said PH would also be ready to contest on its own if cooperation with BN failed to materialise.
The terms of the Selangor and Negeri Sembilan state assemblies will end on June 26, and state elections must be held within 60 days.
