Viral ‘abang sado’ weeps in remorse after being sentenced to another nine days in prison
CAMERON HIGHLANDS – A muscly man who went viral for hitting a female driver on her head wept in remorse as he appeared in court again on Friday.
Mohammad Zaim Faiz Tarmizi, 29, could not hold back tears when he was charged in the Cameron Highlands Magistrate’s Court on two charges of assaulting two employees of a restaurant in Tanah Rata, Cameron Highlands last June 4.
The factory supervisor pleaded guilty to both charges before Magistrate Qasiratul Jannah Usmani Othman.
In his appeal, Mohammad Zaim Faiz admitted that he regretted his action and promised not to repeat it.
He also asked the court to only impose the minimum fine as he has a two-year-five-month-old and a pregnant wife to support.

“I am appealing to pay the fine because for the first case, I had already been sentenced to prison. I felt guilty and regretted it. I will not repeat my action,” he said.
According to the charges, the father of one had deliberately caused injury to a foreign worker Samir Das, 28 and V Dennis Pillai, 23 at a steamboat restaurant near Tanah Rata in the Cameron Highlands district at around 4.20pm on June 4

For the offence, he was charged under Section 323 of the Penal Code which provides for a prison sentence of not more than one year or a fine of RM2,000 or both.
Magistrate Qasiratul Jannah Usmani imposed a nine-day jail sentence and a fine of RM1,000 for each charge.

The court also ordered the accused to be jailed for another nine days if he failed to pay the fine.
However, the prison sentences were carried out concurrently from the date of arrest on Thursday.
The prosecution was handled by Deputy Public Prosecutor Punitha Sinnapan while the accused was not represented by any lawyer.
Pahang police previously confirmed that they had opened investigation papers against the man because he was suspected of assaulting restaurant workers in Cameron Highlands.
Based on the report, the man started cursing with abusive words and slapped both of the restaurant worker’s cheeks when he became unsatisfied as his food took too long to be served.
On June 9, the Tapah Magistrate’s Court sentenced him to seven days in prison after the accused pleaded guilty to threatening and injuring a female driver until the video of the incident went viral.
