Decomposing body found in boot of abandoned car in Shah Alam
SHAH ALAM: A foul smell led to the discovery of a body of a man in the boot of a car at Taman Sri Orkid in Seksyen 30 here.
Shah Alam deputy OCPD Supt Ramsay Embol said the public noticed the foul smell coming from the car at about 3.25pm on Tuesday (July 4).
He said that the smell came from a black car which had been abandoned there for about three days.
“The victim has been identified as a 47-year-old Indonesian man. The car was registered under his name. His body has been sent to Hospital Shah Alam for a post-mortem exam,” he said in a statement on Wednesday (July 5).
Investigations led to the arrests of three men and a woman, all Indonesians in their 40s, he added.
“They have been remanded until Monday (July 10).
“We urge those with information on the case to contact investigating officer Asst Supt Mohammad Khairi at 012-266 6025,” he said.
