Edu Ministry to appoint school children as ‘Madani Ambassadors’
KUALA LUMPUR: The Education Ministry (MoE) will appoint school pupils nationwide as ‘Madani Ambassadors’ in an effort to foster the spirit of unity in line with the Malaysia Madani concept.
Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek said the move was inspired by the ‘Festival Semarak Ilmu Tahun 2023’ organised by the Sentul Education Office here today (Feb 15).
“This programme must continue, and the school children who participated in the programme today have been declared as ‘Duta Madani Perpaduan’ (Ambassadors of Unity Madani), especially at Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur level.
“MoE will continue with programmes like this as part of concerted efforts to foster unity, build a Madani nation and strengthen it through such programmes,” she told reporters after launching the festival.
Fadhlina said the function of Madani ambassadors are important to create a clearer perspective on unity and integration at school level.
She said the MoE-level Ambassadors of Unity Madani would be expanded and announced during her visits to other states over time.

Meanwhile, the festival was held to highlight the talent, creativity and potential of school students in Sentul through a variety of activities including storytelling, folk and traditional dances, choirs, poetry recitation, gamelan and angklung. – Bernama
