Wan Fayhsal mocks Rafizi wanting to become ‘an artist’
SHAH ALAM – Economy Minister Rafizi Ramli’s decision to become a jury member on a reality TV programme, Innovathon, garnered the attention of many, including Machang MP Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal.
Wan Ahmad Fayhsal, in a Facebook post, said Rafizi’s involvement was ‘awkward, as this has never been done by any other minister before.
“Do you want to become a minister or an artist? No minister has done so, not even KJ (Khairy Jamaluddin). Let Malaysia’s economy be destroyed at the hands of these individuals,” he said.
The Innovathon programme is a cooperation between the Science, Technology, and Innovation Ministry, the Economy Ministry, and Astro.
The reality programme would showcase the innovative skills and ideas among Malaysians to find solutions to socioeconomic issues.
Other juries in the programme were Science, Technology, and Innovation Minister Chang Lih Kang and famous artist Fazura, with 100 public juries consisting of those from several different backgrounds.
Innovathon would be aired on July 15 on the Astro Ria channel and would feature the pair of Awal Ashaari and Lisa Surihani as hosts.
