Farrah Naz assumes new role as NST GE

KUALA LUMPUR: Multi-award winner Farrah Naz Karim assumed the role of New Straits Times’ Group Editor today.
The two-time Kajai Award winner, takes over from Ahmad Lokman Mansor, who assumed the position on Jan 1, 2020.
New Straits Times Press Bhd (NSTP) group managing editor Mustapha Kamil Mohd Janor witnessed the handing over of duties between Lokman and Farrah this morning.
On Tuesday, NSTP in a statement announced Farrah Naz as the new group editor of the 177 year-old newspaper.
She was most recently attached to Media Prima Television Networks as an executive producer for current affairs programmes.
The company said the assignment of Farrah Naz to NST as its group editor was in line with NSTP’s strategy to further enhance its content offering.

Also announced today was the appointment of Sharanjit Singh as NST’s executive editor (content and digital) and Najmuddin Najib as associate editor (content and digital).
Previously, both Sharanjit and Najmuddin were NST’s senior news editors.
