MELAKA: A man got the shock of his life when he realised that a body, covered in white cloth, was that of his elder sister who had died in an accident early this morning.
“I did not expect that my older sister would be involved in a fatal accident. When the white cloth was uncovered, I was shocked to see her lifeless body lying there,” said Muhammad Rezza Afiqie Ali Mohd Nor, 27.
Rezza’s sister, Noor Izwani, 35, died along with her colleague, Nur Aisah Djaapar, 36, in an accident involving three vehicles along Jalan Lebuh Alor Gajah-Melaka Tengah-Jasin (AMJ) near Kandang, here at around 7.40am.
According to Rezza, at the time of the accident he was on his way to work in Batu Berendam before coming across the accident.
“I left the house at Jalan Pasir Gembor 2, Kampung Sempang, Merlimau at around 8.05am and I even stopped to see the accident.
“At first I did not even notice my elder sister’s smashed up car and then all of a sudden someone opened the white cloth covering one of the bodies and that was when I got the shock of my life.
“I immediate told the police that I am the younger brother of the deceased and asked permission to see the body,” he told Harian Metro when met at Hospital Melaka’s forensics department.

According to Rezza, after divorce, Noor Izwani who before this was a trader in Port Dickson, Negri Sembilan, lived together with their father in the ‘kampung’ and worked in a factory.
“We lived together, my father, my late sister, her two children and myself. My late sister was such a loving and jovial person.
“It’s weird but last night, I noticed that there was a slight change in my late sister’s behaviour and demeanor as she was quiet, but who would have known that was a sign that she would die,” he said, adding that her remains will be buried at the Kampung Sempang Muslim Cemetery in Merlimau.
Meanwhile, Nuraisah’s father Djaapar Umareng, 62, said that he was still picturing and imagining his eldest daughter enjoying crab soup which he cooked yesterday evening.
Djaapar said Nuraisah, the eldest of four siblings loved seafood and among her favourites were crab, prawn, and squid, though she did not like to eat fish.
“It just so happened that yesterday I managed to catch a few crabs and I decided to make soup with it and Nuraisah asked me to cook one with sambal (chili paste).
