KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 17 — A nasi lemak seller has alleged that she got bullied by a male competitor who runs a canteen nearby.

Aina, a home tuition teacher who sells RM1 nasi lemak packets part-time, claimed that she fought back and defiantly stood up to the man, whose face cannot be seen in a TikTok video that went viral.

The six-minute 38-second clip showed his hands brusquely touching Aina’s basket of nasi lemak as he allegedly told her to move to another location.

“You have no right to be here,” he allegedly said. “You’re blocking the main path.”

When Aina, who has her stall on a public pavement vehemently denied this, he tried again.

“My problem is that my nasi lemak is not getting sold. Customers are buying your nasi lemak, not mine.”

Aina retaliated by saying that it wasn’t her problem as her stall is located in a public area while he sells food in a canteen inside a building.

Unrelenting, he allegedly accused her of running a non-halal business as he claimed that she was undermining his efforts.

“I pay rent, you can’t be here, I’ll report you to the authorities,” he said.

As if that weren’t enough, he allegedly called her fat and said she’s in league with the devil.

“Watch your mouth, mind your manners,” said Aina. “If you want to lodge a report, go ahead.”

Aina later uploaded the video of the heated exchange on her TikTok account and told her regular customers that she will be looking for a new location.

“God’s abundance can be enjoyed everywhere, maybe just not at where my stall was previously located,” she posted.

“May God bless the canteen nasi lemak seller. I will update you with my new location, which will also be somewhere in Section 7, Shah Alam.”
