Actor alleges land belonging to family transferred to third party
KUALA LUMPUR: Actor Ammar Baharin is seeking an explanation from the Selangor State Land and Mines Office (PTG), alleging his family’s land located in Semenyih was unlawfully transferred to another person without prior notice.
Ammar, in a post shared on his X and Instagram accounts, revealed that recently, his family visited the area to clear the land but was surprised to find a house in its place.
“How can a piece of land have two different grants?” asked Ammar in his posts. He claimed that the other person showed a grant that was similar to his mother’s.
“My mother even showed the person her original grant, which she had for decades. She even paid for the land taxes,” he said. Ammar said his mother and his late father went to the Selangor PTG to inquire about the situation.
It was understood that PTG Selangor has promised to replace his mother’s land with another land. However, there has been no response. Ammar said that when asked about the latest update, a staff at the PTG Selangor office said that Selangor no longer has any vacant land (to replace).

“Who approved the second grant for another individual when our family has not sold or transferred it to anyone else?”
To whom was the payment for the land sale given? What about the land tax my mother has been paying every year?”
Did the other party also pay the same land tax? Hopefully, PTG has answers to each of the above questions,” he said.
The actor also urged the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) to take action.
Meanwhile, the director of the Selangor Land and Mines Office (PTG), Datuk Dr Yusri Zakariah, when contacted by Berita Harian, said it will look into the claims and would issue an official statement later.

Selangor Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, also reacted to the actor’s post on Instagram by requesting him to provide details regarding the matter.
“DM (Direct Message) details (of the grant) and lot number, I will investigate,” he said briefly in the actor’s post.
